
From now there is a compulsion need to wear a mask if you are driving alone in Delhi. The verdict came during the DDMA meeting on Friday ie 4th February 2022. State Gov has made a rule in which it was compulsory for the driver to wear a mask inside a vehicle even though the driver is alone in the vehicle.
The state government’s decision was declined by the Delhi High Court and called the decision ‘absurd’, and asked why it is still in effect even though it is basic sense.
The decision was made by two sitting judges, Vipin Sanghi and Jasmeet Singh, who endorsed the decision that had been in place since last November in Delhi.

Rahul Mehra, an advocate of the Delhi High court marked the incidents in which many individuals were fined for not wearing a mask in a vehicle even though they were alone in the vehicle, and not while driving with their family or friends.
In the beginning, the fine was 200rs but later judge dismissed the verdict and marked the car/vehicle as a public place and it should be compulsory to wear a mask even if the person is alone in the vehicle and the fine was increased to 2000rs.

The DDMA declared the new rules in which schools, colleges, and gyms are allowed to be open and work at their potential and the time of night curfew in Delhi also reduces by an hour, from 11 pm to 5 am in the morning.
According to the health bulletin released by the health department on Thursday, the positivity rate for Covid-19 has significantly from 4.3% to 2688 new covid-19 cases in the capital in the last 24 hours.
