Lata Mangeshkar was greatly involved in parliament and one of the famous bills POTA (Prevention Of Terrorism Act) was passed during the tenure of Lata Mangeshkar and the vote of Lata Mangeshkar was the deciding vote for this bill.
Parliament paid a tribute to Lata Mangeshkar by posting a video of 1997 when India completed its 50 years of independence. Lata Mangeshkar sang ‘Sare Jaha Se Acha’ in Lok sabha.
